Job summary

Hexa Consulting in Portugal seeks an IT Security Architect specializing in Splunk and Linux to support critical cybersecurity platforms within the banking sector. Based in Portugal with a hybrid working model, you will contribute to security operations, application reliability and continuous improvement across complex IT environments.

Qualifications

• 6 to 9 years of experience in IT security, application support or infrastructure operations.
• Strong expertise in Linux environments and Splunk.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications and managing complex technical incidents.
• Knowledge of application architecture, monitoring and security operations.
• Analytical thinking, autonomy and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Strong collaboration, communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain cybersecurity applications across Linux and Windows Server environments.
• Investigate production incidents, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive solutions.
• Monitor application availability, performance and infrastructure capacity in accordance with SLAs.
• Coordinate application deployments, upgrades and technical changes.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and networking teams on application architecture and operational requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation and improve operational procedures through automation.
• Support security log collection, incident response platforms and forensic investigation environments.
• Contribute to cloud security monitoring and automated threat detection initiatives.
