PrimeIT in Portugal is seeking an IT Buyer to join an international procurement team and play a key role in managing and developing IT purchasing activities across a global environment. You will work with local and global teams, negotiate with stakeholders and suppliers, manage budgets, and support SaaS and On-Premise software acquisitions, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end procurement processes.

Qualificações

• Background in IT procurement, IT project management, or a similar functional role.
• Enjoy working with different stakeholders, negotiating, and finding practical solutions.
• Familiarity with IT environments and software procurement including SaaS and On-Premise, licensing, pricing models, and end-to-end project management.

Responsabilidades

• Managing IT purchasing processes end to end, from understanding the business need to negotiation and contract follow-up.
• Working closely with local and global teams to ensure consistency and alignment in procurement processes.
• Managing and monitoring budgets related to IT purchases.
• Negotiating with business stakeholders and suppliers to find the best commercial solutions.
• Supporting software and technology acquisitions, including SaaS and On-Premise solutions.
• Analysing pricing models, contracts and financial metrics related to software purchases.
• Coordinating different stakeholders and ensuring clear communication throughout the procurement process.
• Contributing to the harmonisation and scalability of procurement processes.

We are looking for an IT Buyer to join an international procurement team in Portugal and play an important role in managing and developing IT purchasing activities across a complex global environment.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a background in IT procurement, IT project management, or a similar functional role, who enjoys working with different stakeholders, negotiating, and finding practical solutions.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for supporting and managing IT procurement activities across different business areas and geographies. Your day-to-day work will include:

• Managing IT purchasing processes from end to end, from understanding the business need to negotiation and contract follow-up.
• Working closely with local and global teams to ensure consistency and alignment in procurement processes.
• Managing and monitoring budgets related to IT purchases.
• Negotiating with business stakeholders and suppliers to find the best commercial solutions.
• Supporting software and technology acquisitions, including SaaS and On-Premise solutions.
• Analysing pricing models, contracts and financial metrics related to software purchases.
• Coordinating different stakeholders and ensuring clear communication throughout the procurement process.
• Contributing to the harmonisation and scalability of procurement processes.

Technical Background

A strong technical background is not required. However, candidates should have a good functional understanding of IT environments and software procurement, including:

• SaaS and On-Premise solutions.
• Software licensing and contracts.
• IT procurement and pricing models.
• Financial metrics related to SaaS acquisitions.
• End-to-end project management.

Previous exposure to technologies and solutions such as Microsoft, VMware, SAP, ERP, IBM, Oracle, API Management or Cybersecurity will be a plus.
