COFCO International in Porto, Portugal is seeking an IT Procurement Buyer on a 1-year contract. The role supports the procurement lifecycle of IT goods and services, handling requisitions, purchase orders, supplier interactions, and data accuracy across systems.

You will work with cross-functional teams, ensure compliance, assist with vendor evaluations, price benchmarks, and dashboards, and contribute to cost-saving opportunities through data insights.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field.
• 3-4 years of procurement experience.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills; able to work cross-functionally.
• Familiar with procurement systems or ERP tools.

Responsabilidades

• Process purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Track order status, follow up with suppliers, and resolve basic delivery or invoicing issues.
• Maintain procurement documentation and ensure data accuracy across procurement tools and systems.
• Assist in communicating with vendors to obtain quotes, clarify requirements, and track deliveries.
• Support in conducting vendor evaluations and performance monitoring.
• Engage with internal stakeholders to clarify needs and ensure smooth procurement flows.

Job Purpose

The Global IT Procurement Buyer supports the procurement lifecycle of IT-related goods and services. This role focuses on executing operational procurement tasks, supporting vendor interactions, and ensuring timely and compliant purchasing activities.

Responsibilities

Procurement Operations Support

• Processes purchase requisitions and convert them into purchase orders accurately and on time.
• Tracks order status, follow up with suppliers, and resolves basic delivery or invoicing issues.
• Maintains procurement documentation and ensure data accuracy across procurement tools and systems.
• Assists in communicating with vendors to obtain quotes, clarifies requirements, and tracks deliveries.
• Supports in conducting vendor evaluations and performance monitoring.
• Engages with internal stakeholders to clarify needs and ensure smooth procurement flows.

Compliance & Process Adherence

• Ensures all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, internal controls, and compliance standards.
• Supports contract administration tasks such as document collection, signature routing, and repository maintenance.

Market & Data Support

• Assists in gathering price benchmarks, market information, and supplier data.
• Updates reports, procurement dashboards, or spend analyses.
• Contributes to identify cost-saving opportunities through data insights.
• Participates in process optimization initiatives within the procurement team.
• Applies best practices in IT procurement and vendor management.
• Proactively seeks ways to improve efficiency, accuracy, and service to internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Supply Chain, Economics, or related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or administrative roles.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn procurement processes.
• Strong understanding of procurement principles or supply chain fundamentals.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work within cross-functional teams.
• Familiar with procurement systems or ERP tools.
