Capgemini Engineering is seeking a network engineer to lead the maintenance of corporate and Data Centre networks, manage vendor relationships, and ensure robust infrastructure control. The role emphasizes hands-on provisioning, documentation, and monitoring across a global IT environment.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience, strong TCP/IP basics, and knowledge of Data Centre, MPLS VPN, and security technologies.

Qualificações

• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar.
• 3–5 years of experience in network roles.
• Solid knowledge of network implementation and operations (Juniper or Cisco).
• Understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure (cabling, power, cooling) and MPLS VPN.
• Experience with firewalls and security in a service-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with DDoS, IDS/IPS and SIEM architectures.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the maintenance of network solutions to support corporate and Data Centre networks.
• Manage vendor relationships including third-party suppliers.
• Provision and maintain network solutions and controls in the infrastructure environment.
• Maintain the infrastructure with standardized processes and automated tools.
• Develop and maintain Low Level Design documentation.
• Define Network Lab and Test Plan development and instrumentation requirements.
• Own and maintain the network monitoring platform.
• Troubleshoot incidents and ensure proper escalation handling.
• Promote continuous team improvement and project delivery.

YOUR ROLE

• Lead the maintenance of network solutions to enable effective management of business and technical requirements for all corporate and Data Centre networks.
• Manage operational vendor relationships, including third party suppliers, for operational effectiveness and enhancement.
• In charge of the provisioning and maintenance to all areas to ensure appropriate Network solutions and controls in the infrastructure environment.
• Manage the maintenance of the infrastructure environment with standardized process and automatized tools.
• Provision and maintain detailed and Low Level Design documentation.
• Define Network Lab and Test Plan development as well as instrumentation requirements.
• Ownership and maintenance of network monitoring platform.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills along with providing support verifying incidents, requests and if escalations are being properly handled.
• Promote continuous team improvement and growth; Meet commitments and deliverables as related to participating/leading projects.

YOUR PROFILE

• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science or similar.
• Apart from TCP/IP knowledge, good understanding of financial trading industry IT and business.
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in similar functions.
• Solid knowledge and experience in network implementation and operations in either or both: Juniper: JNCIP/JNCIE level on EX, MX, QFX and J series platforms, and/or Cisco: CCNP/CCIE level.
• Understanding of Data Centre Infrastructure (structured cabling, power distribution, cooling), MPLS VPN design and implementation, use of network probes and monitors and physical transport technologies (i.e. DWDM).
• Application design and development relating to networks.
• Detailed knowledge of Firewall technology and how to apply them in a service-oriented enterprise.
• Security oriented mindset with familiarity of DDoS Solutions, IDS and IPS and with SIEM architecture and usage.
