Capgemini Engineering in Lisbon is seeking a Network Operations Engineer to troubleshoot and resolve complex network incidents and to configure LAN/WAN, routing, switching, Wi‑Fi, firewall and MPLS environments. You will monitor performance, test new releases, support enterprise network services, and collaborate with NOC teams and vendors.

A background in Telecommunications or Computer Engineering and knowledge of BGP/OSPF/MPLS, plus CCNA/CCNP awareness, is valued.

Qualificações

• Higher education in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Experience in network operations, engineering or technical support.
• Knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLANs, IP addressing, routing and switching.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS and STP.
• Experience troubleshooting network incidents and identifying root causes.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, equipment upgrades and configuration changes.
• Exposure to firewalls and network security is valued.
• CCNA/CCNP certifications are valued but not mandatory.

YOUR PROFILE

• Higher education in Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Previous experience in network operations, engineering or technical support.
• Good knowledge of LAN, WAN, VLANs, IP addressing, routing and switching.
• Knowledge of protocols and technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS and STP.
• Experience troubleshooting network incidents and identifying root causes.
• Familiarity with network monitoring, equipment upgrades and configuration changes.
• Exposure to firewalls, corporate Wi-Fi, network security or customer premises equipment is valued.
• Experience with manufacturers such as Cisco, Nokia, Huawei, Fortinet or Check Point is an advantage.
• Python, network automation knowledge and CCNA or CCNP certifications are valued but not mandatory.
• Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with different technical teams.
• Availability for on-call support and occasional out-of-hours implementations.
