What we are looking for
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IP Network Engineering, including at least 5 years in telecommunications operator environments.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience delivering Network Automation projects in production environments.
- Experience participating in network transformation initiatives, including:
- Core and Edge migrations
- Segment Routing implementations
- Strong knowledge of Service Provider network architectures:
- Core & Backbone Networks
- Aggregation Networks
- International Peering & Transit
- CGNAT
- IPv6 and Transition Mechanisms
- Advanced routing and switching expertise, including:
IS-IS
- Strong experience with multi-vendor telecom environments:
- Knowledge of network security concepts and technologies:
- Advanced knowledge of Python for Network Automation and software engineering best practices.
- Experience with:
- Git
- Testing Frameworks
- Version Control Workflows
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for large-scale network configuration management.
- Knowledge of modern network programmability technologies:
NETCONF
RESTCONF
gNMI
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for network operations using GitLab, GitHub, or similar platforms.
- Experience with virtual lab environments and automated validation tools such as:
- Containerlab
- GNS3
- Knowledge of observability and telemetry solutions:
ELK Stack
gNMI / gRPC
SNMP
- Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation frameworks for network lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to manage and resolve complex network incidents.
- Proactive mindset and continuous improvement focus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and promote NetDevOps best practices.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
