Job summary

Siemens Global Business Services in Portugal seeks a Communications Specialist – English Speaker to coordinate IT communications, engage employees, and drive clear messaging across IT services and initiatives.

You will work with service owners, leaders, and experts to craft engaging content, plan events, and publish newsletters, articles, and campaigns. A hybrid model and collaboration across the IT Unit are key advantages.

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Journalism, Organizational Development, or related field.
• Experience in internal communications, employee engagement, event management, or project communications.
• Excellent written and verbal English with storytelling, copywriting, and presentation abilities.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management, with influence without direct authority.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools for content, video, visual communication, and graphics.
• Ability to translate IT topics into simple, engaging messages.
• Proactive, organized, collaborative, able to manage multiple topics and deadlines.
• Experience in IT, digitalization, transformation, or matrix environments is a plus.
• Curiosity, attention to detail, enthusiasm for engagement and community building.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate communication activities across IT services, initiatives, and stakeholder groups.
• Develop clear and engaging messages with service owners, managers, leaders and experts.
• Gather communication needs, align topics, and refine content for clarity, consistency, and impact.
• Plan and coordinate engagement formats such as All Hands meetings, knowledge-sharing sessions, leadership updates, and community initiatives.
• Support speakers and presenters in improving storytelling, structure, and audience engagement.
• Create and publish newsletters, articles, campaigns, organizational updates, social media content, SharePoint content, and presentations.
• Use AI tools to support content creation, video concepts, graphic design, and visual communication assets.
• Build strong relationships and foster collaboration across the IT Unit.
