Syone is seeking Infrastructure / Systems Migration professionals for a hybrid role in Lisbon, at junior, mid and senior levels. You will contribute to a large-scale infrastructure migration project, migrating thousands of workloads across platforms and technologies.

You will work with VMware and KVM, troubleshoot Linux/Windows environments, and automate tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell or Ansible. Portuguese for customer coordination and English for vendor communication are required.

Qualificações

• Professional experience in Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Virtualization or IT Operations.
• Knowledge of VMware and/or KVM environments.
• Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT and firewalls.
• Knowledge of NFS and/or iSCSI storage.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell and/or Ansible.
• Methodical, proactive and well-organized approach, with strong attention to documentation and operational procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems independently and work effectively in a large-scale migration environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Portuguese for customer-facing coordination; English for communication with tech teams and vendors.
• Availability to work scheduled evening/weekend migration windows; Availability for a fixed-term employment contract.

Responsabilidades

• Support the migration of virtual machines and workloads between different virtualization platforms.
• Work with VMware and KVM environments, troubleshooting issues related to migrated VMs and their OS.
• Perform troubleshooting on Linux and Windows Server environments, including drivers, boot issues, networking, licensing and activation.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components such as VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT and firewall rules.
• Work with storage technologies, including NFS and iSCSI.
• Automate repetitive migration and infrastructure tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell and/or Ansible.
• Support the preparation, execution and validation of migration and cutover activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams, vendors and customers throughout the migration process.
• Document configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps and migration activities.
• Ensure migrations are performed in a structured, controlled and reliable manner.
• Participate in scheduled evening and weekend cutover windows, when required.

• Experience in a service provider environment;

• Experience working with external customers and SLA-driven environments.
