Syone in Lisbon is seeking Infrastructure/Systems Migration professionals at Junior, Mid and Senior levels to drive a large-scale migration project. You will support migration of workloads across platforms, troubleshoot VMware/KVM, and ensure secure, well-documented cutovers.

The role requires Linux/Windows administration, networking, and storage expertise, plus scripting with Bash, Python, PowerShell or Ansible. Hybrid schedule and international collaboration are part of the setup.

Qualificações

• Professional experience in Infrastructure, Systems Administration, Virtualization or IT Operations.
• Experience with VMware and/or KVM environments.
• Linux and/or Windows Server administration and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of networking concepts such as VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT and firewalls.
• Knowledge of NFS and/or iSCSI storage.
• Experience with scripting or automation using Bash, Python, PowerShell and/or Ansible.
• Methodical, proactive and well-organized approach with strong documentation skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot in large-scale migration environments.
• Good communication and teamwork; Portuguese and English for coordination.
• Availability for a fixed-term employment contract.

Responsabilidades

• Support the migration of virtual machines and workloads between different virtualization platforms.
• Work with VMware and KVM environments, troubleshooting issues related to migrated virtual machines and their operating systems.
• Perform troubleshooting on Linux and Windows environments, including drivers, boot issues, networking, licensing and activation.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components such as VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT and firewall rules.
• Work with storage technologies, including NFS and iSCSI.
• Automate repetitive migration and infrastructure tasks using Bash, Python, PowerShell and/or Ansible.
• Support the preparation, execution and validation of migration and cutover activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams, vendors and customers throughout the migration process.
• Document configurations, procedures, troubleshooting steps and migration activities.
• Ensure migrations are performed in a structured, controlled and reliable manner.
• Participate in scheduled evening and weekend cutover windows, when required.

What you'll do:

• Good communication and teamwork skills;
  
• Portuguese for customer-facing coordination;
  
• English for communication with technical teams and vendors;
  
• Availability towork scheduled evening/weekend migration windows, when required;
  
• Availability for a fixed-term employment contract.

Nice to have:

• Previous experience with P2V/V2V migrations or migrations between hypervisors;
  
• Knowledge of Apache CloudStack and/or Proxmox;
  
• Experience withCloudStack API/CLI scripting;
  
• Experience in aservice provider environment;
  
• Experience working with external customers and SLA-driven environments.
