Bosch eBike Systems is shaping the future of connected cycling with a scalable, cloud-like platform for hardware-in-the-loop testing. You will join a hybrid team spanning global sites to automate and secure test environments, enabling faster development cycles.

The role emphasizes Linux expertise, Proxmox VE virtualization, Docker containers, Ansible automation, and strong scripting in Python/Shell. English and Portuguese proficiency is preferred for international collaboration.

Qualificações

• Master’s degree (MSc) or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or similar roles.
• Experience operating and improving infrastructure in an international, distributed setup is a plus.
• Strong experience in Linux systems administration (systemd, networking, security, performance/kernel tuning).
• Experience with Proxmox VE; container technologies such as Docker; basic local DBMS management.
• Solid experience with Ansible, plus scripting in Python and Shell.
• Understanding of VLANs, PXE boot, and deploying services like DHCP, DNS, and HTTP.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana (or similar tooling).
• Fluent in English and Portuguese (preferably).
• Hands-on, structured approach to problem solving with a focus on automation, collaborating across teams.
• Curious and proactive, motivated to explore new technologies.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement automated workflows for remote OS deployment and configuration of Raspberry Pi devices using PXE, systemd, and Ansible.
• Develop, maintain, and scale configuration management solutions for globally distributed test environments using Ansible and Python.
• Administer, optimize, and scale on-premises virtualization platforms (e.g., Proxmox VE) to host critical services and virtualized test environments.
• Act as a Linux expert by optimizing kernel performance, tuning system behavior, and managing secure networking configurations (iptables/nftables).
• Deploy and maintain essential infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, PXE, and HTTP, ensuring reliable operation of the hardware fleet.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure high availability and performance of the test infrastructure.
