Bosch Portugal is seeking a DevOps Engineer for Embedded Software Automation & CI/CD to drive the automation backbone for our embedded projects. You will design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines and toolchains in a global, agile environment.
Working in an international team, you will enhance developer experience, improve software quality, and enable fast, reliable delivery of eBike components with modern tooling and observability capabilities.
Qualificações
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, software automation or CI/CD
- Ideally within an embedded software environment
- Fluent in English and Portuguese
Responsabilidades
- Design, implement, operate, and improve CI/CD pipelines for embedded systems including HIL testing
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and solutions using Python, Groovy and Bash
- Enhance the embedded toolchain with Git, Docker, Jenkins / GitHub Actions
- Provide containerized development environments for reproducibility
- Support developers and testers as a technical contact for CI/CD and tooling
- Improve build/validation processes with CMake, Ninja, Clang-Tidy and Gcovr
- Collect and visualize data and KPIs to improve software quality and observability
- Ensure availability and usability of engineering data across the lifecycle
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Software Architects and Quality Managers
- Take ownership of topics and drive improvements

As a DevOps Engineer for Embedded Software Automation & CI/CD, you will build, operate and continuously improve the automation ecosystem, CI/CD pipelines and development toolchains that enable fast, reliable and scalable software delivery for innovative eBike components.
Working in an international and agile DevOps team, you will play a key role in improving developer experience, software quality and release efficiency.
- Design, implement, operate, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing for embedded systems
- Develop and maintain automation solutions and scripts using Python, Groovy and Bash
- Enhance and standardize the embedded development toolchain based on Git, Docker, Jenkins / GitHub Actions
- Provide and maintain containerized development environments to ensure reproducibility and efficiency
- Support developers and testers as a technical point of contact for CI/CD, automation and tooling topics
- Continuously improve build and validation processes using tools such as CMake, Ninja, Clang-Tidy and Gcovr
- Contribute to software quality and observability by collecting, structuring and visualizing relevant data and KPIs
- Improve the availability and usability of engineering data across the software lifecycle
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Software Architects and Quality Managers on development and release strategies
- Take ownership of topics, identify optimization potential and proactively drive improvements
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field - or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of experience in DevOps, software automation or CI/CD
- Ideally within an embedded software environment
- Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD and automation tools: Docker, Git, Jenkins / GitHub Actions, Groovy, Bash, Python
- Experience with build and development tooling: CMake or Bazel, Ninja, Clang-Tidy, Gcovr
- Familiarity with cloud/infrastructure tools such as: Terraform, AWS, Artifactory
- Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (e.g., OpenTelemetry, Grafana) is a plus
- Nice to have: experience with compilers (GCC, Clang, GHS) and tools like Prometheus or OpenSearch
- Fluent in English and Portuguese (preferably)
