Job summary

Haworth International in Portugal is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own and maintain product manufacturing definitions in our ERP, drive process improvements, and support the industrialization of new products. You will translate design requirements into efficient, cost-conscious production processes and provide technical support to Manufacturing.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years in Manufacturing/Process Engineering or Industrialization.
Strong knowledge of BOM structures and data in ERP.
2D/3D drawing understanding.
Proficient English communication.
Experience with MS Office and ERP systems.
Analytical, structured, and proactive problem-solver.

Responsibilities

Create, manage, and maintain BOMs for standard and custom products, ensuring accurate structures and routings.
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, applying lean methods to boost safety, quality, productivity & cost.
Industrialize new products from design handover to pilot production and final release.
Collaborate with Design/Engineering to implement changes and update manufacturing data and docs.
Prepare process sheets, work instructions, and production drawings per procedures.
Provide technical manufacturing support, resolving issues and identifying root causes.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Quality, and suppliers to meet requirements.
