FedEx Corporation in Porto is seeking a Senior Industrial Engineer to lead European Customs Clearance projects, focusing on new software development and process mapping to deliver data-driven recommendations to executives.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical and process-thinking capabilities, international experience, and a PMP or willingness to study. Travel up to 30%+ across Europe is expected as you collaborate with IT, Operations, Finance and Regulatory teams.

Qualificações

• Experience as an Industrial Engineer in an International Business environment.
• Preferably: MBA/ MSc in business-administration, engineering, IT or analytics.
• Preferably: PMP certificate or willingness to obtain it.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent planning, organizing and problem-solving abilities.
• Very strong analytical skills and ability to translate user needs into requirements.
• Experience in designing and documenting business/system process flows.
• Affinity with systems, technology and project management.
• Innovative mindset and excellent interpersonal/negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently (30%+) to FedEx locations in Europe.

Responsabilidades

The Industrial Engineer Senior - process engineering is part of the European Planning & Engineering team and will lead European Customs Clearance related projects in a Safe environment focused on new software development / implementations using process mapping i.e BMP flows and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders.

The responsibilities of the Industrial Engineer Senior:

• Would be required to project lead and oversee regional complex cross functional programs
• Recommend, lead and execute business analysis plans for new and existing projects
• Provide recommendations to Senior Management/Leadership Team.
• Produce complex business process model flows (BPM flows) and develop SOP’s/ job aids
• Recognize and recommend opportunities for innovations, automations, and increased productivity
• Take ownership of initiatives and work independently to successful conclusion
• Evaluate business requests and needs against the strategy
• Lead any European project from start to finish (business case development, project plan, execution, implementation, hyper care support
• Maintain close partnerships with collaborating departments e.g. IT, Operations, Finance and Regulatory.
• Engage with all levels of business stakeholders to identify business needs

The ideal Industrial Engineer has verystrong analytical (numeric & strategic) and process thinking capabilitiesand has the following profile:

• Experience as a Industrial Engineer in an International Business environment.
• Preferably: Business school/University level education, in business-administration (MBA), business-engineering, master’s in Engineering, information technology or business analytics, or similar
• Preferably: PMPcertificate, or willing to study to obtain this
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Good planning, organizing and problem solving skills
• Very goodanalytical skills. Understand user needs and translate them into business requirements / flows
• Experience in designing anddocumenting business/system process flows
• Affinity with systems, technology and project management
• Innovative mindset
• Excellent interpersonal & negotiation skills with the ability to interact effectively throughout various functional groups and hierarchical levels
• Willingness to travel frequently (30% or more) to various FedEx locations in Europe
• Ability to lead internal cross-functional teams to fast-cycle strategic developments
• Previous exposure toCustoms Clearanceis an advantage
• Affinity with the Express Transportation industry
