Next Engineering is seeking a hybrid SQL Developer (SQL Server) to join our Lisbon-area team in Caparica. You will develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures while tuning SQL Server performance and resolving query issues.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years with Microsoft SQL Server, strong SQL skills, and fluency in English and Portuguese. A DevOps background is a plus and a hybrid work model in Lisbon is available.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science/IT or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, including advanced queries, Stored Procedures and functions.
• Experience in query optimization and SQL Server performance tuning.
• English and Portuguese fluency.
• DevOps knowledge is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, maintain and optimize advanced SQL queries.
• Create, maintain and optimize Stored Procedures and SQL functions.
• Analyze and improve SQLServer database performance through performance tuning.
• Identify and troubleshoot performance issues in queries and Stored Procedures.
• Support database optimization initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure efficient and reliable database solutions.
• Contribute to improving database development processes and practices.
• Apply best practices to ensure query efficiency, data integrity and database performance.
