Wire IT, based in Portugal, is seeking a Senior COBOL Developer to join a senior, international team in hybrid Porto or Lisbon. The role focuses on COBOL, CICS, DB2, and JCL, with responsibilities to understand and maintain existing code and produce clear API documentation.

Requirements include a degree in Computer Engineering or IT, 5+ years in similar roles, and English at B2 level. French is a plus; international exposure is advantageous. Health insurance and generous vacation are offered.

Qualificações

• Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a similar field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in similar roles.
• Strong professional experience with COBOL.
• Solid experience with CICS, DB2, and JCL.
• Ability to understand, analyse, and maintain existing code.
• Experience creating technical documentation, user guides, and API documentation.
• Fluency in English (B2).
• Knowledge of French is a plus.
• Experience in an international environment is a plus.
