Siemens Energy in Portugal is seeking an electrical engineer to join our HVDC team, focusing on the design, commissioning, and verification of control and protection systems. You will work with a multinational team across Europe and on-site at customer sites, traveling up to 80% for projects in Europe and abroad.

Qualificações

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, energy technology, or a comparable qualification.
• Proven experience in commissioning industrial plants.
• Knowledge of MATLAB/SIMULINK, Siemens SIMATIC, power electronics, high‑voltage systems, or automation technology.
• Fluent in English is mandatory, any additional language will be considered a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Drive HVDC projects to successful completion, supporting the global energy transition for our customers.
• Lead the commissioning of HVDC systems, ensuring technical excellence, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct integration and functional testing of control and protection systems in our Nuremberg test facilities.
• Prepare and execute testing procedures and programs for converter control, including thorough verification documentation.
• Support quality, risk, and claim management, and participate in improvement initiatives such as Lean, Reviews, and Lessons Learned.
