Sonnedix is seeking an HSE Manager based in Lisbon to lead the implementation of HSE programmes across Portugal, aligning with regulatory requirements and Sonnedix standards. You will provide leadership, assurance and technical guidance across the asset lifecycle, overseeing compliance, audits and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Proven expertise in Health, Safety & Environment management within renewable energy projects and operations.
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese HSE legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Experience leading HSE assurance activities, including audits, inspections, incident investigations and corrective action management.
• Demonstrated ability to influence business leaders, project teams, contractors and external stakeholders.
• Drives AI and digital tool adoption by sharing knowledge and identifying integration opportunities within the team (AI & Digital Literacy).

The Role

Are you ready to use your HSE expertise to help shape a safer and more sustainable future? We are looking for a collaborative and influential HSE Manager based in Lisbon to join our Health, Safety & Environment team, reporting to the VP of HSE & Lean Iberia. In this role, you will lead the implementation of Sonnedix's HSE programmes across Portugal, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, local legislation and Sonnedix HSE Standards. Your work will help strengthen our safety culture and protect people, assets, the environment and our reputation. The HSE Manager, Portugal will provide HSE leadership, assurance and technical guidance across the renewable energy asset lifecycle, including development, construction, operations and BESS projects. You will oversee HSE compliance, contractor management, audits, inspections, incident learning and continuous improvement, working closely with business leaders, project teams, contractors and regulators. Through a visible field presence, you will help embed HSE into business decisions and operational delivery while supporting accountability across the organization.

Desirable skills:

• Proven expertise in Health, Safety & Environment management within renewable energy projects and operations
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese HSE legislation, regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Experience leading HSE assurance activities, including audits, inspections, incident investigations and corrective action management
• Demonstrated ability to influence business leaders, project teams, contractors and external stakeholders
• Degree in HSE, Engineering, Environmental Sciences or a related discipline, with professional fluency in Portuguese and English
• Drives AI and digital tool adoption by sharing knowledge and identifying integration opportunities within the team (AI & Digital Literacy)
