Job summary

SOFICO in Porto is seeking an HR Officer to drive people operations and employee experience across our international team. You will own recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle while ensuring compliance with local laws and safety standards.

As a proactive, organized professional, you’ll support Health & Safety initiatives, coordinate benefits, and help shape a positive workplace culture. Portuguese and English communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in HR, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of Portuguese labour law.
• Knowledge of Tech Visa processes and Health & Safety regulations is a plus.
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS systems (Greenhouse is a big plus).

From our office in Porto, we are looking for an HR Officer to be the driving force behind our people operations and employee experience. As an organized, proactive, and people-focused professional, you will play a key role in supporting our employees throughout their journey at SOFICO while helping us attract, onboard, and retain top talent.

This is a highly varied role that combines Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Employee Administration, Health & Safety, and Office Operations. What you'll do...

• Find and hire great people: Take ownership of the recruitment process from sourcing and interviewing candidates to presenting offers and ensuring an outstanding candidate experience;
• Support our employees: Be a trusted point of contact throughout the employee journey, from onboarding to offboarding, helping create a positive and seamless employee experience;
• Keep our people operations running smoothly: Manage HR administration, maintain accurate employee records, coordinate benefits, and ensure compliance with local legislation and company policies;
• Support our international workforce: Coordinate Tech Visa and immigration-related processes, supporting employees and ensuring all requirements are met efficiently and compliantly;
• Promote a safe and healthy workplace: Support Health & Safety initiatives, maintain required documentation, and help ensure our Porto office remains a safe and compliant environment;
• Help strengthen our culture: Support employee engagement initiatives, company events, workplace projects, and activities that make SOFICO a great place to work.

What you bring...
