Job Purpose

The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting employees, managers, and operational teams at our Águeda manufacturing site. This position is focused on Employee Relations, ensuring a positive work environment, providing day‑to‑day Human Resources support, and contributing to the effective implementation of people processes and initiatives across the plant.

A glimpse of your daily mission
  • Act as the main Human Resources point of contact for employees, providing visible and accessible support across the production environment.
  • Build strong relationships with employees, supervisors, and managers to foster engagement, trust, and open communication.
  • Support managers in handling attendance, performance, employee relations matters, conflict resolution, and team dynamics.
  • Ensure the consistent application of Human Resources policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Coordinate employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, contract administration, medical examinations, and offboarding processes.
  • Support time‑keeping activities, ensuring accurate records of attendance, overtime, working schedules, and absences.
  • Manage relationships with temporary staffing agencies and coordinate the recruitment, onboarding, and administration of temporary workers.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development initiatives across operational and business functions.
  • Support employee engagement activities, internal communication initiatives, and workplace events.
  • Contribute to Human Resources reporting, compliance activities, process improvements, and organisational projects.
Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of professional experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven experience in Employee Relations, Human Resources Operations, and temporary workforce management.
  • Knowledge of recruitment, learning and development, and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Understanding of payroll and time‑keeping practices.
  • Strong knowledge of Portuguese labour legislation.
  • Experience working with Human Resources information systems; experience with SAP SuccessFactors is considered an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all organisational levels.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken; Spanish is a plus.
