Qualificações

• 3–5 years in HR Generalist/HRBP/HR Operations.
• Knowledge of Portuguese Labour Law.
• Experience with SAP SuccessFactors.
• Education sector experience is a plus.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English.

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a dynamic, versatile, and detail-oriented HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to school leaders while taking ownership of the critical transition phase between Talent Acquisition and the employee's first day on the job.

While Onboarding & Global Mobility coordination will be key areas of focus, you will operate as a well-rounded HRBP, supporting employee relations, performance management, and day-to-day HR operations to ensure a seamless, legally compliant, and welcoming environment across our schools.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR Business Partnering & School Support

• Partner with school leaders and managers, providing day-to-day guidance, coaching, and support on all people-related matters.
• Support employee relations matters, ensuring they are managed consistently, empathetically, and in line with internal policies and Portuguese employment legislation.
• Assist managers with performance management, including the monitoring of probationary periods, absence management, and employee development initiatives.
• Support organizational changes, internal mobility and all subsequent contractual changes.
• Support the implementation and communication of HR policies, processes, and procedures across all schools.

Onboarding, Global Mobility Coordination & Compliance (Core Focus)

• Act as the operational bridge between the recruitment team and the day the employee starts working at the schools, owning the pre-onboarding transition phase.
• Issue, validate, and send official job offers and employment contracts to selected candidates, maintaining continuous engagement.
• Coordinate the relocation and visa processes for international candidates, acting as the main point of contact between the new hires and our external legal counsel / immigration lawyers.
• Coordinate the end-to-end onboarding and integration process tailored to the specific culture and operational needs of each school.
• Validate mandatory background checks, criminal records, and Safer Recruitment documentation, ensuring full legal compliance prior to the candidate's official start date.
• Ensure all tools, system accesses, and documentation are fully ready for the employee's first day.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in HR Generalist, HRBP, or HR Operations roles, seamlessly balancing day-to-day employee relations with high-volume onboarding projects.
• Legal & Compliance Awareness: Good foundational knowledge of Portuguese Labor Law . Experience coordinating with external suppliers or legal counsel is a plus.
• Tech-Savvy: Practical experience using core HRIS systems, with a strong preference for SAP SuccessFactors .
• Education Sector Exposure: Previous experience managing HR within a school, university, or academic environment is highly valued (understanding school calendar peaks is a plus).
• Languages: Native/Fluent in Portuguese and professional fluency in English (mandatory for international candidate liaison and global reporting).
• Soft Skills: Exceptional relationship-building and coordination skills, high empathy, strong data discretion, and the resilience to manage competing priorities.
