Job summary

Minor Hotels Europe & Americas seeks a Maintenance Director to lead preventive and corrective maintenance across a luxury hotel. You will supervise the maintenance department and external providers, ensuring safety and high service standards.

Excellent leadership, budgeting, and stakeholder management are essential. Ideal candidates have a relevant engineering degree, 3–4 years in hotel maintenance, strong HVAC knowledge, and fluency in the local language; English is advantageous.

Qualifications

3–4 years of maintenance experience in hotel/service industry.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
Fluency in local language is mandatory; English knowledge is valuable.
Knowledge of HVAC, electrical and electronic systems.
Working knowledge of SAP, CMMS (GMAO) and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Strong organizational and leadership skills; able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

Coordinate preventive maintenance across hotel facilities and equipment.
Arrange routine maintenance in guest rooms, lobbies, and facilities with safety controls.
Conduct regular hotel inspections to ensure infrastructure standards.
Manage external maintenance contracts and monitor service quality.
Build relationships with external stakeholders (fire authorities, vendors).
Develop project plans with budgets, timelines, and teams; ensure energy and cost control.
Monitor energy consumption and maintenance costs; identify cost-saving measures.
Address guest incidents promptly and resolve issues.
Coordinate department objectives with other head of departments.
