Job summary

55 Tech is building the data infrastructure for sports data customers and is looking for a hands-on Growth Lead. You will own the full funnel, from first hearing about us to long-term subscription, and turn a technically strong product into something customers discover and stay with.

You’ll write SQL, build campaigns, and work closely with engineering to ship experiments. We value clear communication, autonomy, and the ability to turn data into rapid growth.

We're building a +EV sports betting platform that helps bettors find mispriced odds across bookmakers and bet with a real mathematical edge rather than gut feeling.

Behind it sits the same infrastructure we build for quant funds and hedge funds: high-throughput odds feeds with real-time data from hundreds of bookmakers. We're bringing that edge to anyone aspiring to beat the market.

We move fast, speak plainly, and care more about results than titles.

About the Role

You'll be our first dedicated growth hire and own the full funnel, from the first time someone hears about us to the tenth month they're still subscribed.

You'll create and manage a marketing campaign end-to-end and make sure our engagement and brand awareness is as best as it can be.

You'll turn a technically strong product into one that people discover, understand, and stay with.

This is a hands-on role: you'll write the SQL, build the campaigns, and sit with engineering to ship experiments, not just plan them.

Preferred Background

• 3+ years in growth or marketing role
• Strong analytical skills - ability to go through data and find ways to improve (SQL...)
• Willingness to improve and doesn't settle for good enough
• Product sense and ability to communicate openly with Engineering
• Familiarity with social media marketing
• Ability to create strong and cohesive marketing plan
• Hands-on lifecycle and retention experience - Identifying patterns in customer behavior, retention and churn

Good to Haves

• Experience working in a young, startup collective
• Past experience and proven track record of growing B2C platforms
• Understanding of sports betting, sports in general
• Leadership ability: You are autonomous and can work efficiently with freedom
• Clear, honest communication - we are all on the same boat, no ego.
• Python or similiar skills for data analysis and automation
• Experience with Canva or other graphic design platforms to create visual content
• Sensible and sustainable approach to using AI tools (no AI slop here, but feel free to use it as a tool!)
