You’ll guide content strategy and editorial direction, ensuring AI-generated content becomes high-quality, valuable material for readers and business outcomes. You will lead a small team of writers, set high standards, and collaborate closely with the CEO, marketing, and product teams to align content with product goals and customer needs.

At OnTheGoSystems, the company behind WPML, Toolset, and PTC, we’re looking for an experienced Head of Content and Editorial who knows what makes content great and can take ownership of content quality and performance.

AI is a core part of how we work. AI can already produce content quickly and efficiently. What we need is someone with the experience, strong editorial judgment, and intuition to turn AI-generated content into high-quality, valuable content that resonates with our readers and delivers real business results.

We’re looking for someone who has experience working with a small team of skilled writers, setting high editorial standards, and making content successful. You should know what good writing looks like, understand why certain content works, and be able to improve it.

What You’ll Work On

• Content strategy and editorial direction – identify what content we should create, for whom, and why.
• Content quality and editing – review, improve, and refine content to make it clear, engaging, accurate, and valuable.
• AI-assisted content creation – use AI tools and workflows to produce high-quality content efficiently while maintaining strong editorial standards.
• Content performance – track results, understand what makes content successful, and use data to improve it.
• Content experiments – test new ideas, formats, and approaches, learn from failures, and build on what works.
• Collaboration with marketing and product teams – understand our products, customers, and business goals to make sure our content supports them.

What We’re Looking For

• You’ve managed small teams of skilled writers and know how to improve and maintain high content quality.
• You have excellent editing and copywriting skills. You can easily spot what works in content and what needs improvement.
• You know how to use AI effectively to create and edit content.
• You’re comfortable working with metrics and taking responsibility for content performance. You use data to understand what works and what doesn’t.
• You have strong editorial intuition built through years of experience. You’re comfortable trying new ideas, making decisions, and checking the results.
• You’re curious and want to understand our products, customers, and business.
• You’re hands-on and independent. You can take ownership of your work without detailed instructions.
• You have experience with technology, software, SaaS, or technical content.

We are especially interested in people who have spent years working in high-quality editorial environments, where great writing, strong editorial judgment, and measurable results are essential.

We’re not looking for someone whose main experience is managing large volumes of low-quality content. We want someone who knows how to make good content exceptional.
