Bosch Portugal is seeking a Hardware Engineer to design advanced hardware circuit architectures, implement testing, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize for manufacturing.

The role requires a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electronics or related field, hands-on experience in PCB development, and English fluency; offers hybrid work, health insurance, training, and career progression.

Qualificações

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or closely related field.
• Proven experience in hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB development.
• Practical experience in hardware testing, debugging, and failure analysis.
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design and PCB layout techniques.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop advanced hardware circuit architectures, ensuring feasibility, signal integrity, and performance.
• Define, coordinate, and execute comprehensive testing and validation plans, analyzing test data for ramp-up.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, component suppliers, and production plants to optimize for manufacturing and testing.
• Identify and resolve hardware challenges during prototyping and series production.
• Ensure compliance with EMC and safety standards.
• Drive test automation and maintenance strategies to improve manufacturing processes.

Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

• Design and developadvanced hardware circuit architectures, ensuring feasibility, signal integrity, and performance.
• Define, coordinate, and executecomprehensive testing and validation plans, analyzing test data to support production ramp-up.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Education

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical

Experience

• Proven experience in hardware design, schematic capture, and PCB development (preferably within consumer electronics, IoT devices, smart displays, or ECU-related products).
• Practical experience in hardware testing, debugging, and failure.

Know how

• Hardware Design:Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout technologies, and component selection.
• EMC Compliance:Solid understanding of EMC-compliant design rules, shielding, and shielding/filtering techniques.
• Manufacturing Statistics:Familiarity with production quality metrics such as Yield, First Pass Yield (FPY), Process Capability (Cpk), and Gauge R&R (GR&R).
• Software & Programming:Basic programming skills in C/C++, Python, LabVIEW, TestStand, or Visual Basic for test automation are a strong advantage.

Languages

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
