Bosch Portugal is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering professional to lead advanced assembly process development and industrialization efforts. You will collaborate with internal and external partners to optimize manufacturing readiness and drive DFMA reviews for seamless transitions to mass production.

You will coordinate across global teams, ensuring alignment between development and manufacturing partners.

Qualificações

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design, process development, automation, or industrialization.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical assembly processes (injection molding, welding, gluing, taping, automated assembly).
• 3D CAD modeling and GD&T; PTC Creo experience preferred.
• Experience coordinating development, tooling, and manufacturing partners.
• English fluency in writing and speaking.

Job Description

Your contribution to something big:

• Develop and validate advanced assembly processes and innovative manufacturing technologies alongside internal and external partners.

• Support the industrialization phase and mass production ramp-up by evaluating process requirements, line readiness, and process robustness on the shop floor.

• Analyze product requirements holistically, ensuring that mechanical product designs are fully optimized to meet manufacturing and assembly constraints.

• Lead and coordinate comprehensive Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) reviews to guarantee a seamless transition from prototype to mass production.

• Coordinate technical alignment between development departments and manufacturing partners worldwide.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Education

• University degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Automation, or related technical discipline

Experience and Know-how

• Industry Experience: More than 5 years of proven professional experience in mechanical design, process development, automation, or industrialization.

• Manufacturing Technologies: Strong knowledge of diverse mechanical assembly processes, such as plastic injection molding, welding, gluing, taping, and automated assembly systems.

• 3D Design & Tolerancing: Solid experience in 3D CAD modeling and technical drawing creation, with advanced knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Practical experience with PTC CREO is highly preferred.

• Partner Coordination: Demonstrated experience coordinating development, tooling, and manufacturing partners.

• Domain Expertise: Prior experience or interest in consumer electronics, outdoor hardware products, smart displays, ECUs, or IoT devices, is considered a plus.
