Robert Bosch Group is seeking a Reliability Engineer to ensure robustness and long-term reliability of Bosch products. You will translate requirements into reliable solutions through analytical thinking and experimental validation, supporting development teams and coordinating tests and analyses.

The role involves defining loads, conducting simulations, and performing validation activities across multidisciplinary teams, with results shared in English.

Qualificações

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering field.
• Experience or strong interest in product reliability, validation engineering, or failure analysis.
• Exposure to electronics, materials, simulation methods, or reliability testing is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Define product loads based on use cases, lifecycle expectations, and system requirements.
• Develop and evaluate simulations and calculations to determine loads and effects on design elements.
• Plan, execute, and assess measurements and tests to determine load capability and reliability of components.
• Support product development with reliability reviews and recommendations to improve robustness.
• Collaborate with customers to discuss reliability concepts and validation strategies.
• Define validation plans and test concepts based on field conditions and aging mechanisms.
• Drive failure analysis activities and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and present results in English to project teams.
• Coordinate reliability activities across multidisciplinary teams.

Your contribution to something big:

As a Reliability Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the robustness, quality, and long-term reliability of innovative Bosch products. By combining analytical thinking with experimental validation, you will help transform product requirements into reliable solutions that meet customer expectations and industry standards.

• Define product loads based on use cases, lifecycle expectations, and system requirements.
• Develop and evaluate simulations and engineering calculations to determine loads and effects on design elements, considering critical damage mechanisms.
• Plan, execute, and assess measurements and tests to determine the load capability and reliability of product components.
• Support product development teams with reliability-focused reviews and recommendations to improve product robustness and performance.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to discuss reliability concepts, validation strategies, and technical solutions.
• Define validation plans and test concepts based on field conditions, industry standards, customer requirements, and aging mechanisms.
• Drive physical failure analysis activities and support root cause investigations, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
• Prepare technical reports and present results to project teams, stakeholders, and customers in English.
• Coordinate reliability-related activities including simulations, testing, failure analysis, and validation efforts across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Education

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a comparable field.

Experience

• Experience or strong interest in product reliability, validation engineering, failure analysis, or related engineering disciplines.
• Exposure to technical areas such as electronics, material science, simulation methods, or reliability testing is considered an advantage.

Know-how

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of reliability engineering principles, validation methodologies, and root cause analysis techniques.
• Ability to interpret technical data and derive meaningful engineering conclusions.

Languages

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• German language skills are an advantage.

• Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to manage multiple topics and coordinate activities across different stakeholders.
