Nordex Group in Porto is seeking a Grid Code Engineer to develop and implement software for SCADA and control systems, and to support after-sales operations for grid-related projects.

You will analyze international grid codes, translate requirements into technical specifications for design, control and testing, and coordinate certification processes to ensure compliance with ENTSO-E, FGW, IEC, and BDEW. The role involves cross-functional collaboration, testing, and continuous improvement.

Qualificações

• Requires degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with grid compliance, grid integration, or power systems analysis, preferably in renewables.
• Hands-on with SCADA systems, PLC/control tech, and industrial automation.
• Familiarity with PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, or MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of international grid codes and certification processes.
• Basic understanding of IT networks and protocols (Profinet, Modbus TCP).
• Proficiency in English for international collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and implement software for SCADA and control systems and provide after-sales support for operational issues.
• Execute software updates and integrate new functionalities while ensuring compatibility with OT systems.
• Analyze grid codes and translate requirements into technical specs for design, control, and testing.
• Coordinate certification processes and ensure compliance with ENTSO-E, FGW, IEC, or BDEW.
• Perform system testing, validation, and performance evaluation using simulations and field data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve grid-conformant system integration.
• Contribute to root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement for SCADA and control systems.
