Job summary

Decskill is growing and seeking a talented Go backend engineer to join our IT consulting team. We are a community of 800+ professionals, working from Lisbon, Porto, and Madrid, delivering impactful technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Go backend development, experience with microservices, RESTful APIs, Docker, SQL/NoSQL, and Git in Agile environments. Fluency in English and willingness to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon or Porto are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Go (Golang) backend development experience.
• 2+ years of overall backend software development experience.
• Experience building microservices-based applications.
• Experience designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong Docker skills and containerized apps.
• Proficient SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Git and automated testing.
• Experience in Agile environments (Scrum/SAFe).
• Business-fluent English communication.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon or Porto.

More than 2 years of experience developing applications with Go (Golang). More than 2 years of overall backend software development experience. Experience developing and maintaining microservices-based applications. Experience designing, developing and consuming RESTful APIs. Strong experience with Docker and containerized application development. Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of software engineering best practices, including automated testing, debugging, code reviews and version control with Git. Experience working in Agile environments, such as Scrum or SAFe. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams. Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies. Business-fluent English, both spoken and written. Availability to work in a hybrid model in Lisbon or Porto, with office attendance to be defined.
