Job summary

SGL CARBON is seeking a Group Tax Manager Transfer Pricing (m/f/d) for the Corporate Function "Group Taxes" at its locations in Meitingen, Germany, or Alhos Vedros, Portugal. You will manage TP documentation, compliance, and support for global business units.

Your role includes maintaining master files and local files, designing the transfer pricing system, benchmarking studies, intragroup pricing, audits, and OECD/EU guideline monitoring. Fluent English is required; German is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree in business or economics, ideally with a focus on taxation or finance.
• Relevant professional experience in international tax law and transfer pricing, gained in a corporate tax department or at an audit/tax advisory firm.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a pragmatic, business-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP and an interest in working with AI tools are desirable.
• Fluent English; German is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain central transfer pricing documentation (master files and documentation for global transactions).
• Support Group companies in preparing and reviewing local files.
• Act as the key contact for business units on the design and implementation of the Group’s transfer pricing system.
• Manage and further develop Group-wide transfer pricing guidelines, value chain analyses, and benchmarking studies.
• Determine and implement prices for intragroup business relationships.
• Review compliance with transfer pricing guidelines across the Group.
• Provide technical support for domestic and international tax audits involving cross-border matters.
• Analyze and implement new requirements, and continuously monitor OECD and EU guidelines and relevant tax developments.
• Design and deliver internal Group training on transfer pricing topics.
