Job summary

IQVIA is seeking a Project Vendor Manager to lead strategic oversight and operational management of third-party vendors supporting global clinical trials. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare or related discipline.
• 3+ years of clinical research experience within CRO/biotech/pharma healthcare.
• Experience managing third-party vendors, suppliers or affiliates.
• Understanding of vendor selection, governance and performance management processes.
• Experience developing and executing Vendor Management Plans and ensuring delivery against contractual commitments.
• Strong knowledge of clinical trial conduct, ICH-GCP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Experience managing vendor-related risks, issues and contingency planning.
• Knowledge of project financials including budget management, forecasting, purchase orders and invoice review.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with sponsors, vendors and project teams.
• Ability to work across geographies and cultures within a global environment.
• Familiarity with technology, reporting tools and AI-enabled solutions.
• Passion for improving clinical trial execution and patient outcomes worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead third-party vendor oversight across global and regional clinical studies, serving as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Drive vendor selection, qualification and onboarding activities in alignment with study requirements and IQVIA processes.
• Develop and maintain Vendor Management Plans to support successful study delivery.
• Monitor vendor performance against contracted scope, timelines, quality standards, deliverables and budget commitments.
• Proactively identify and manage vendor-related risks, issues and contingencies, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Lead vendor governance activities, including performance reviews, escalations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Own vendor management deliverables and ensure effective collaboration between sponsors, suppliers and project teams.
• Review and oversee vendor budgets, forecasts, purchase orders and invoices to support effective financial management.
• Partner with Clinical Project Managers and cross-functional teams to achieve study milestones and resolve operational challenges.
• Support change control activities related to vendor scope, budgets and contracted services.
• Leverage IQVIA affiliate capabilities and internal services to optimize study delivery.
• Capture lessons learned and share best practices to enhance vendor performance and project outcomes.
