BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Program Launch Buyer to join our new production plant in Viana, Portugal. The role focuses on launching projects on time and within budget, coordinating across purchasing, production and logistics to ensure readiness and supplier alignment.

The ideal candidate has a PM mindset with 3+ years of experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency with MS Office and PM tools.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in project management, operations management, or related role.
• Strong understanding of PM principles, launch phases and milestone tracking.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills with proactive approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
• Knowledge of PM methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Experience with product launch or go‑to‑market strategies.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the development and execution of detailed launch plans for assigned projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align goals, requirements and milestones.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners for launch readiness, including purchasing, production and logistics.
• Manage BOM cost and vendor tooling according to project requirements.
• Monitor milestones and deadlines until launch.
• Identify delays or problems and implement corrective actions.
• Follow up on sourcing status, process compliance and PPAP for components.
• Ensure parts availability for internal milestone tracking.
