Job summary

1228 Vision Box - Soluções de Visão por Computador, S.A. is seeking a Buyer (Abóboda Factory) to manage purchasing and sourcing activities ensuring timely delivery and best value in line with company policies.

You will analyse requests, run end-to-end RFPs, negotiate with suppliers, manage relationships, monitor performance, and drive process improvements in a global, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Solid knowledge and experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or a related area.
• Good understanding of business needs and their impact on procurement activities.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to evaluate different sources of information and recommend effective solutions.
• Proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Able to work independently with a moderate level of guidance.

Responsibilities

• Analyse internal purchasing and sourcing requests and identify the most appropriate suppliers and sourcing approach.
• Manage end-to-end RFP processes in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Oversee projects with subcontractors and follow up on them across the full purchasing cycle, from initiation to completion.
• Select suppliers and lead negotiations on pricing, contractual terms, and conditions.
• Ensure purchasing decisions meet business needs and comply with company policies and standards.
• Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
• Monitor internal stakeholder satisfaction and address purchasing-related needs.
• Track, monitor, and report purchasing activities and performance.
• Define and implement purchasing action plans and assess their effectiveness.
• Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes, efficiency, and ways of working.
