Bekaert in Portugal is seeking a strategic Global Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain operations. You will balance demand and supply, drive operational excellence, and support global business growth through data-driven decisions and cross-functional collaboration.

The role requires a Master’s degree (desirable) and at least 5 years of leadership experience in global or multi-site supply chains.

Qualificações

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management with success leading complex projects and teams.
  • Experience managing global or multi-site supply chain operations is highly valued.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and implement global supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead demand planning, sales forecasting, production planning, and inventory optimization activities.
  • Oversee planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain operations.
  • Partner with Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing and Commercial teams to ensure seamless product flow.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs and improve performance.
  • Champion sustainable and ethical sourcing practices across the supply chain.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to drive continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team.

Purpose and Mission

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Global Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. In this high-impact role, you will play a critical part in balancing supply and demand, driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and supporting business growth on a global scale.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence key business decisions, and lead initiatives that enhance performance, sustainability, and customer satisfaction across the supply chain network.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Business Alignment
  • Develop and implement global supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Translate business priorities into operational plans and actionable initiatives.
  • Lead demand planning, sales forecasting, production planning, and inventory optimization activities.
Supply Chain Excellence
  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of supply chain operations.
  • Partner closely with Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless product flow and service excellence.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Sustainability & Responsible Sourcing
  • Champion sustainable and ethical sourcing practices across the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with legal requirements and corporate sustainability commitments.
  • Drive initiatives that support environmental and social responsibility goals.
  • Establish and monitor key supply chain performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, agility, and operational effectiveness.
  • Leverage data and analytics to support informed decision-making.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing supply chain team.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Ensure team members have the tools, training, and support needed to succeed.
  • Identify and mitigate potential supply chain risks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies.
  • Build resilient processes that support business continuity and long-term success
About You
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. (desirable)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management with demonstrated success leading complex projects and teams. (essential)
  • Experience managing global or multi-site supply chain operations is highly valued. (essential)
  • Proficiency with supply chain systems, planning tools, and data-driven decision making. (essential)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven negotiation and influencing abilities.
  • Professional certifications are consider a plus.
