European Investment Bank in Luxembourg invites applications for Head of Business Applications & Engineering Division. This full‑time role leads the portfolio of business applications, integration platforms and software engineering capabilities, driving digital transformation and secure delivery at scale.

Reporting to the GIS Head, you will shape demand, build roadmaps, and guide cross‑functional teams while ensuring production stability and architectural alignment.

Qualificações

• University degree (minimum equivalent to a Bachelor's) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline.
• At least 10 years leading delivery, operation and evolution of business-critical application portfolios with leadership beyond development.
• Experience leading multiple technology teams in multicultural/international environments.
• Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders to shape demand and roadmaps.
• Experience across full lifecycle: architecture, engineering, integration to production and retirement.
• Defining and implementing organisation-wide software engineering standards and shared tooling.
• Strong knowledge in modern application integration (cloud/hybrid, APIs, event-driven, SOA).
• Strong knowledge of modern software engineering practices including security, resilience, DevSecOps and observability.
• Excellent knowledge of English; knowledge of other EU languages is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the Division’s portfolio of bespoke business applications and integration platforms, aligning with enterprise architecture and strategy.
• Define and drive the Bank’s application integration strategy for secure, scalable platforms.
• Build and lead software engineering enablement through standards, shared platforms and tooling.
• Manage the Division’s leadership team with clear accountabilities and development of capabilities.
• Ensure delivery portfolio aligns with strategic, business and regulatory initiatives while balancing investments and stability.
• Promote automation, DevSecOps, observability and continuous service improvement across production environments.
