Job summary

PwC Portugal is hiring a Fund Accounting Associate in Matosinhos to support international funds, acting as the main client contact and ensuring accurate accounting and tax management. You will work within PwC’s Managed Services, gaining exposure across LuxGAAP, IFRS, and USGAAP while developing technical accounting and client-facing skills.

You will collaborate with international colleagues, participate in a tailored learning program, and grow within a global PwC network focused on development

Qualifications

• Final year or completed Master in Economics, Accounting or Management (taxation background a plus).
• Interest in Tax and Accounting; eagerness to learn.
• Curiosity, motivation to learn, attention to detail, proactive mindset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate.
• English proficiency (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Be the main contact for international funds and manage client relations.
• Supervise accounting and tax aspects for a portfolio of international clients.
• Assist with bookkeeping, annual accounts, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with international colleagues to deliver high-quality client support.
• Develop technical accounting knowledge (LuxGAAP, IFRS, USGAAP) and business knowledge through coaching.
• Participate in learning and development programs.
