Job summary

Allianz Services in Portugal is seeking an experienced Compliance Manager to design and implement a global compliance topic across locations. You will oversee local entities, advise senior leaders, and partner with auditors to promote governance and integrity.

Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will operate with autonomy, considering local regulations while aligning with Allianz Group requirements.

Qualifications

• A relevant university degree (e.g. Law, Finance, Economics or similar) and/or equivalent professional experience; compliance certification (e.g. ICA) is an advantage.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Compliance, Risk Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related governance function, preferably within an international organization.
• Strong judgement and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• A business mindset with a passion to advise Functions based on their processes, value chain and objectives.
• Experience working in international, matrixed environments and collaborating across geographies.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking, negotiation, and conflict management skills, with expertise in moderation and presentation techniques.
• Commitment to the highest standards of integrity and ethical conduct.
• Fluent English is required; additional languages (especially German, Romanian, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Malaysian and/ or Hindi) are a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a global compliance topic in accordance with the requirements and including all tasks as set out in the Compliance policy, respective Standards and Functional Rules as well as the Compliance manual.
• Contribute to the development and periodic updating of Compliance internal rules and procedures to foster alignment with current laws, regulations and industry standards
• Facilitate the sharing of best practices and lessons learned across the organization to enhance the quality and effectiveness of our system of governance, and overall compliance requirements.
• Foster alignment with strategic compliance objectives and corporate standards.
• Leveraging of available and possible digital solutions for Compliance topics and identifying emerging compliance risks and trends.
