Language Matters in Lisbon is seeking a German-speaking Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing shared services team. The role focuses on end-to-end AP processes, supplier reconciliations, and policy‑driven expense reviews in a multinational environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in Accounts Payable, fluent German and English, and strong Excel plus ERP experience. This permanent position offers a hybrid work model with a start ASAP and a salary up to €25,000 plus a 10% performance

• Maintain accurate financial records within ERP systems, ensuring all accounts payable transactions are recorded correctly.
• Review and process expense claims, ensuring compliance with policy and strong attention to detail using Excel.
• Support month‑end activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and reporting as part of the Accounts Payable Accountant function.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Accountant or in a similar accounts payable role (minimum 2 years).
• Fluency in German and English is essential for this role.
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and familiarity with ERP systems in an international environment.
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong organisational and problem‑solving skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to communicate effectively across teams and support stakeholders in a German‑speaking business unit.
