Job summary

TeamViewer is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer in Porto to join the teams building backend services powering our products and the web applications on top of them. You will work across the stack, from APIs and data to user interfaces, in an agile team with product, UX and platform engineers.

Develop and maintain backend services with Java/Kotlin or Node.js/TypeScript, and build web interfaces using React and TypeScript.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional fullstack development experience.
• Solid backend experience with Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot or Node.js and TypeScript.
• Solid experience with React and TypeScript.
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and web app architecture.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with messaging systems like Kafka/NATS/RabbitMQ.
• Hands-on Docker; Kubernetes is a plus.
• Strong testing mindset and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with AI coding tools and reviewing AI-generated code.
• Experience working in Agile teams.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot or Node.js/TypeScript.
• Build web applications and features using React and TypeScript.
• Design data models and work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Integrate services via REST APIs and messaging systems.
• Containerise and deploy with Docker and Kubernetes; contribute to CI/CD.
• Write automated tests and participate in code reviews.
• Use AI coding assistants while ensuring quality, security and maintainability.
• Monitor and improve production features with focus on quality, performance and security.
• Collaborate with team and other teams on technical decisions.
