Job summary

Fyld is hiring a Java Backend Developer with French and English fluency to join our Lisbon-based team. You will work on backend services for banking-domain projects, delivering scalable and secure APIs with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and relational databases.

The role requires 3+ years of Java experience, strong OOP skills, and experience in REST API design. You'll collaborate in Agile teams, contribute to code quality, and grow within a values-driven consulting company.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• 3 years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming.
• Experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Good understanding of API design, integration and security principles.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL).
• Good knowledge of SQL and unit/integration testing (JUnit/Mockito).
• Git and version control practices; Maven or Gradle; familiarity with CI/CD; software architecture and design patterns.
