Cleon1 in Lisbon is hiring an early operations generalist to join the founder in the new Lisbon office. You will own a broad set of responsibilities from tooling setup to process documentation and logistics for hires and events.

This role is for a proactive, writerly generalist who thrives on variety, can switch between tasks, and helps the company move fast. You\'ll learn how a bootstrapped startup scales and grow into more ownership over time.

We're a fast-growing technology company focused on B2B data. You will be employee #4 and the first person to join the founder in the Lisbon office. This role exists to take a wide range of operations work off the founder's plate so the company can move faster.

What this is

A broad, high-agency role for someone early in their career who wants to work shoulder to shoulder with a founder who went from $0 to millions in ARR in less than 2 years, fully bootstrapped. You will learn how a company is built, and grows fast. You'll touch almost everything: operations, tooling, hiring, outreach, research, and documentation. It starts as execution and coordination, and as you prove out, you grow into owning more.

What you'll do

• Operations & tooling: set up and configure software, build and document processes, run logistics for new hires and company events, and keep things running.
• Communication & outreach: handle inbound leads over email and LinkedIn, and represent us to prospects and candidates.
• Hiring support: post job ads, manage candidate correspondence and tracking, and help with screening.
• Knowledge & research: keep the company wiki current, write clear internal guidelines, and research competitors.

Who we're looking for

• A proactive generalist who takes initiative rather than waits to be told, and is comfortable with (and enjoys) switching between very different tasks.
• An excellent writer, a lot of this role is written communication (guidelines, wiki, lead and candidate replies, job ads).
• Tech-savvy, genuinely comfortable with software and tools - you pick up new tools fast and enjoy setting things up.
• Organized and a finisher, you drive tasks all the way to done, including the boring last part, and you keep your work tidy without being asked.
• Pro-active and always improving, not satisfied with "good enough," always looking for a better way, grounded in understanding why something works before changing it.
