Job summary

Fyld is seeking a Network Security Engineer with strong Fortinet experience to design and operate enterprise network security solutions. You will work hands-on on Fortinet environments, optimize firewall policies, VPNs, and secure connectivity within client networks.

The role emphasizes collaboration with technical teams, documentation, and continuous growth in a fast-paced consulting setting in Portugal. English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Networking, IT or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in network security and infrastructure.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet solutions, particularly FortiGate.
• Experience configuring and managing firewall policies, NAT, routing and security policies.
• Experience with VPN technologies including IPsec and SSL VPN.
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with network security concepts such as segmentation, access control and secure connectivity.
• Experience with FortiManager and centralized firewall management.
• Familiarity with FortiAnalyzer and security/event monitoring.
• Experience with Fortinet Secure SD-WAN is valued.
• Experience integrating security solutions with enterprise network environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity and security issues.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with technical teams and stakeholders.
• Fluency in English.
