Sysmatch, with over 25 years of IT consultancy, seeks a FinOps Expert for a hybrid role in Lisbon. You will drive cloud cost optimization across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, ensuring governance and actionable insights for product, engineering, and architecture teams.

Responsibilities include implementing FinOps strategies, budgeting support, cost optimization targets, and regular stakeholder reporting to promote financial accountability and cross-functional collaboration.

FinOps Expert M/F – Hybrid (2x Lisbon)

What we are looking for

Service Mission

• Implement FinOps strategies, policies, and best practices aligned to Group standards to control cloud spending;
• Expertise of product management and finance processes;
• Support Budget/Forecast and Cost Optimization target setting processes;
• Service across product, engineering and architecture teams to identify cost optimizations while not endangering quality of service;
• Drive governance activities;
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud costs and usage across multiple cloud platforms to drive cost visibility and transparency of Cloud costs across the product lines;
• Provide regular reports and insights on cloud spend, trends, and anomalies to stakeholders;
• Expertise on cross-functional communication for promoting the culture of financial accountability;
• Implement tools and automation for cost tracking, reporting, and optimization.
• Expertise in FinOps, cloud cost management, or cloud financial analysis.
• Expertise in Cloud operations and/or financial management, expertise with cloud-based architectures, cloud provider tools, financial and systems for budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization
• Expertise of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their billing structures.
• Expertise in IT asset management or cost accounting
• Certification from Cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and/or FinOps Foundation
• Conduct and present analysis of complex data and translating the results into actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations.
• Expertise in financial and analytical expertise
• Expertise of Microsoft Office Suite & Power BI required (extensive expertise of Excel required)
• Expertise with IBM Cloudability
• Expertise on computer science, Financials
