Shakers is looking for a FinOps Practitioner to lead the implementation and operation of FinOps processes in a leading global IT services firm in Portugal. This role involves bridging finance and technology to ensure maximum value from cloud investments.

The ideal candidate will have extensive cloud FinOps experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP, with strong skills in cost optimization and financial reporting. The position offers a hybrid work model of 2 days per week in Lisbon.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of experience implementing the FinOps Foundation framework.
• 5+ years of hands-on cloud FinOps experience (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP).
• Deep knowledge of cloud cost management principles and tooling.
• Professional proficiency in English is essential.
• European nationality is a legal requirement.

Responsabilidades

We're looking for a FinOps Practitioner to join a high-impact project at a leading global IT services firm in Portugal, where you'll lead the implementation and operation of FinOps processes across a complex cloud environment.

Your mission:

bridge finance and technology to ensure cloud investments deliver maximum value — optimizing spend, driving accountability, and scaling FinOps culture across the organization.

What you'll do:

• Lead the implementation and operation of the FinOps Foundation framework across Inform, Optimize, and Operate phases
• Drive cloud cost optimization strategies and cloud financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Act as the key liaison between finance and engineering teams to promote financial accountability
• Leverage tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, and GCP Billing to provide actionable insights
• Identify and implement savings opportunities (Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, Committed Use Discounts, etc.)

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of experience implementing the FinOps Foundation framework
• 5+ years of hands‑on cloud FinOps experience (AWS, Azure, and/or GCP)
• Deep knowledge of cloud cost management principles and tooling
• Professional proficiency in English
• European nationality (legal requirement)

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud provider cost optimization services (Savings Plans, Reserved Instances, Committed Use Discounts)
• Familiarity with automation tools for cost governance
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills

Working model:

Hybrid — 2 days/week in Lisbon
