Its purpose is to improve cloud spend visibility, financial accountability, and decision-making across the organisation.You will work closely with Finance, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to support budgeting, forecasting, allocation, and governance processes. The role also involves helping product and engineering teams identify and implement cloud cost optimisation initiatives.FinanceA key part of the position is turning complex cloud cost data into clear, actionable recommendations for both technical and business stakeholders. The work spans AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform environments.## Key Responsibilities– Partner with Finance, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations to improve cloud cost visibility and accountability. – Support product and engineering teams in identifying and implementing cloud cost optimisation initiatives. – Analyse cloud spend data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for savings. – Build and maintain cost reports, dashboards, and KPI monitoring. – Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and financial governance processes. – Support chargeback/showback models and cloud governance practices. – Present analysis and recommendations to technical and business audiences.## Required Skills– Proven experience in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, Cloud Cost Optimisation, or IT Financial Management. – Strong understanding of cloud cost management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, chargeback/showback, and optimisation. – Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including billing models and cost structures. – Experience supporting product and engineering teams on cloud cost optimisation initiatives. – Ability to work across Finance, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations. – Experience with cloud cost reporting, financial analysis, and KPI monitoring. – Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets. – Hands-on experience with FinOps tools. – Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. – Experience creating dashboards and reports in Power BI. – Experience with budget planning, forecasting, and financial governance models in IT environments. – Familiarity with cloud governance frameworks and best practices. – Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. – Fluent English.Finance## Preferred Skills– Experience in large enterprise environments or global organisations. – Previous exposure to cloud transformation initiatives. – Knowledge of IT asset management, cost accounting, or technology financial operations. – Familiarity with product finance processes and cloud cost recharge mechanisms. – FinOps Foundation certification. – AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications. – Experience with IBM Cloudability or similar cloud cost management platforms.## Cloud Platforms & Technologies– \*\*Cloud Providers:\*\* AWS; Microsoft Azure; Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – \*\*FinOps Platforms:\*\* IBM Cloudability; other cloud cost management platforms – \*\*Reporting & BI:\*\* Microsoft Excel; Power BI## FinOps Responsibilities– Cloud cost budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance. – Cost allocation and chargeback/showback support. – Cloud cost optimisation and spend reduction initiatives. – Cloud cost reporting, KPI monitoring, and financial analysis. – Identification of spend trends, anomalies, and optimisation opportunities. – Improvement of cloud cost transparency and financial accountability. – Application of cloud governance frameworks and best practices.## Benefits– Long-term projects with national and international context. – Opportunities to grow technically and professionally.## Why You Might Be InterestedThis opportunity is well suited to professionals with FinOps or cloud financial management experience who want to work across Finance, Product Management, Engineering, and Operations.
