Hiscox SA is seeking a Financial Controlling & Reporting Analyst to support financial stewardship, governance and oversight across Hiscox SA, its branches and European entities including HASAS.

You will act as the key interface with the external finance provider and local stakeholders, review and challenge financial outputs, and coordinate reporting, compliance and governance activities to ensure accuracy, timeliness and robust controls.

Formación

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Professional accounting qualification would be advantageous.
• Experience in financial services and multi-country/regulatory environments preferred.

The Financial Controlling & Reporting Analyst is responsible for supporting the financial stewardship, governance and oversight of Hiscox SA and its branches, as well as HASAS and other European legal entities as required.

The role acts as a key interface between the external finance provider, local business stakeholders and legal entity governance structures, ensuring that financial information, reporting and controls are delivered accurately and on time.

The position provides review, challenge and oversight of outputs produced by the external finance provider and supports decision-making through financial analysis, insight and coordination across the organisation.

Key Responsibilitie s

Legal Entity Governance

• Support the financial oversight of Hiscox SA and its branches, as well as HASAS and other European legal entities.
• Coordinate inputs and deliverables for local Boards, Audit Committees and governance forums.
• Ensure legal entity risks and issues are appropriately identified and escalated.
• Support the preparation and review of financial information for legal entity governance purposes.

Financial Oversight and Contro l

• Review and challenge financial reporting, balance sheet positions and key control outputs produced by the external finance provider.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the financial control environment.
• Support the identification and remediation of control deficiencies.
• Assist with the maintenance and documentation of entity-level controls.
• Support interactions with regulators, internal auditors and external auditors.
• Ensure local reporting requirements are understood and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
• Facilitate communication between local stakeholders and central Finance teams.
• Support statutory reporting and compliance activities across the European legal entities.

Governance and Risk Managemen t

• Support legal entity governance activities and action tracking.
• Assist with risk assessments and regulatory change initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Group policies and local regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to strengthening governance and control frameworks across the entities.

Continuous Improvemen t

• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve finance processes.
• Support Finance transformation initiatives and implementation of operating model changes.
• Contribute to process improvement projects aimed at enhancing efficiency, governance and reporting quality.

Skills And Experience

Technical Skills

• Understanding of financial accounting and reporting principles.
• Knowledge of financial controls, governance frameworks and risk management practices.
• Experience supporting statutory audits, regulatory reporting or financial control activities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
• Ability to interpret financial information and communicate insights effectively to a range of stakeholders.

  Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Relevant experience within financial services is preferred.
  • Experience working in a multi-country or regulated environment would be beneficial.
