Sodexo is seeking a Financial Controller for Holdings in Porto to join Group Finance. You will oversee monthly closings, provide performance insights, and partner with leaders across projects to drive budgeting and cost allocation.

This role reports through the Holdings Financial Controlling hub and supports regional and global dimensions. Ideal candidates have finance/Accounting background, FP&A experience, strong Excel/ERP skills, and excellent communication.

Qualificações

• Background in Finance and Accounting.
• Financial controlling or FP&A experience.
• Strong experience in monthly closings, budgeting and forecasting.
• Analytical skills to interpret complex data.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Fluent in English; other languages a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with Activity Leaders, Project Managers and Budget Owners across project phases.

• Support resource allocation decisions with cost analysis.
• Drive process improvements and automation in financial workflows.
• Promote finance as a strategic partner and proactive collaborator.

In Group Finance, the Holdings Financial Controlling department is responsible for supervising and controlling the financial reporting processes and providing various performance reports for the decision-makers of the global dimensions (global functions and global segments notably). In that context, we are looking for a Financial Controller for Holdings, who will be working transversally with 3 other hubs and the parent company.

What will you do?

• Oversee monthly closings, reporting, variance analysis, and annual planning.
• Provide financial insights and performance analysis to support business decisions.
• Partner with Activity Leaders, Project Managers, and Budget Owners across all project phases.
• Support project budgeting, financial tracking, and delivery performance.
• Manage recharge models and ensure accurate cost allocation across regions/business units.
• Monitor CAPEX and OPEX projects in line with financial policies and guidelines.
• Support resource allocation decisions through cost analysis and recommendations.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency within financial workflows.
• Promote finance as a strategic business partner, fostering collaboration and proactive engagement.

What you'll need to succeed?

• Background in Finance and Accounting
• Financial controlling or FP&A experience
• Strong experience in financial cycles (monthly closing, budget, forecast), including cost transparency, financial allocation, and performance tracking, knowledge on ITFM principles is a plus.
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency in financial tools and systems, ERP systems and advanced Excel - ITFM tool (as a plus).
• Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively engage with different stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; additional language skills are a plus.
