• Review and process accrual and prepayment journals, supporting financial report/billing transactions.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identify process harmonisation and improvement opportunities.
• Support the integration of new team members by delivering complete knowledge transfer.

R2R Specialist (General Ledger) – Accountant Specialist

Join Sodexo Business Services (SBS) in Portugal, a shared service center supporting European markets as part of six major financial teams, including Record to Report, Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, Financial Analysis, and Master Data.

What will you do?

• Ensure month‑end closing activities.
• Execute balance sheet accounts reconciliation on a monthly basis.
• Manage profit/loss accounting activities, delivering accurate monthly financial results.
• Apply accounting standards and practices.
• Complete accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations, providing explanations for movements.
• Review and process accrual and prepayment journals, supporting financial report/billing transactions.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
• Identify process harmonisation and improvement opportunities.
