EnBW IT-Solutions in Lisbon is seeking a Financial Controlling expert to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the local hub. You will act as a partner to senior stakeholders, coordinating with HQ Accounting, Controlling, and Tax teams to ensure accurate reporting.

The role covers local planning, cash flow insights, and continuous process improvements, with a hybrid work model and opportunities to grow in an international IT environment.

Responsabilidades

• Drive local FP&A planning aligned with Group processes and reporting cycles.
• Partner with Managing Directors and HQ functions to enable sound decisions.

Your tasks

Controlling

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Own performance reporting, cost controlling, variance analysis, and the integrity of key financial metrics and business cases.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, strengthen internal controls, and enhance financial processes in alignment with Group standards.

Accounting & Tax

• Act as the primary local interface for Accounting and Tax matters, coordinating closely with HQ Accounting and Tax teams.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities, audits, tax filings, and compliance with internal policies and statutory requirements.
• Engage directly with HQ Accounting and external auditors on reconciliation, closing, and reporting matters, with sufficient technical understanding to discuss and challenge findings where relevant.

Finance

• Drive local financial planning activities and ensure alignment with Group FP&A processes and reporting cycles.
• Monitor cash flow, support financial strategy execution, and contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and methodologies.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with local Managing Directors and senior stakeholders by providing reliable financial analysis and decision support.
• Build strong relationships with all five HQ Finance functions and collaborate across departments to achieve business objectives while ensuring financial integrity and compliance.

Your profile

• Several years of experience in Financial Controlling, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proven experience working independently within an international group or subsidiary environment.
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions even under pressure and raise concerns when needed.
• Experience driving process improvements, implementing controls, and translating financial insights into business actions.
• Fluency in English and excellent communication skills.
• Strong ERP knowledge, ideally SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience with group reporting, consolidation, and bridging local statutory reporting with group accounting standards.
• Exposure to Accounting, Tax, or Treasury topics within an international organization.
• Experience supporting business growth, transformation, or organizational maturity initiatives.
• Background in the technology, software, or IT services sector.

About The Department

You will join our growing IT hub in Lisbon, which is currently in a ramp-up and scaling phase. The hub takes over IT services and capabilities from existing delivery organisations and external partners, while also building new services directly on site. The hub is being built and scaled with a strong focus on collaboration, sustainable growth and high-performing teams.

As Financial & Accounting Expert you will be the hub’s dedicated technical counterpart to the HQ Tax, Accounting, Controlling, Finance, and Treasury functions. You will ensure that our local financial operations comply with group standards, that the financial reporting is accurate, and that cross-border issues are identified and resolved at an early stage. You act as a trusted partner between the Lisbon hub and stakeholders across the German headquarters. You work independently as an individual contributor with no direct reports.
