EnBW IT-Solutions in Lisbon is seeking a backend developer to join their DevOps team. You will be instrumental in developing and operating software for electromobility backends while ensuring high-quality software practices.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Computer Science and has extensive experience with Java and Spring Boot while being proficient in cloud services like Azure. This role offers a hybrid working model along with excellent benefits.

Your tasks

• You are part of our DevOps team, developing and operating the software for our electromobility backends
• You deliver across the SDLC from refinement to release with a strong focus on test-driven development and production stability
• You take end-to-end ownership for both development and testing activities, ensuring high-quality software through comprehensive testing as an integral part of the development process
• You mentor developers on engineering best practices and testing, while promoting cloud technology standards across teams (CI/CD pipelines, architectural blueprints, security and compliance)
• You work with agile methodologies, take ownership of your topics, focus on pragmatic solutions, and actively foster team spirit

Your profile

• You hold a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification and bring experience in enterprise software development with Java and Spring Boot
• You have expertise in deploying and operating cloud services on Azure, AWS, or GCP (preferably Azure), and you are confident working with Infrastructure-as-Code
• You possess knowledge of Clean Code, Test Driven Development, and software design principles, including REST APIs and event-driven architecture
• You have experience with software architecture concepts such as Domain-Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, or Clean Architecture
• You are proficient in essential development tools, including the Spring ecosystem, NoSQL databases, Maven, Gradle, Git, and GitHub Copilot
• You communicate fluently in English; knowledge of Portuguese and/or German is a plus

About The Department

As a backend developer, you will work on the central mobility+ backend systems, which serve as the 'operating system' of the EnBW HyperNetz. These systems establish us as one of the leading providers of electric mobility charging solutions in Germany and across Europe. In order to keep pace with the rapid growth of e-mobility, we are looking for experienced Java software engineers to join our team.
