Position ID: 70319 | Department: Finance & Accounting | Level: Professional | Grade: PG09 | Employment Type: Full-Time | Contract: Permanent

Position Summary: This role involves ensuring the quality of accounting data, managing specific accounting calculations, closing review, regulatory reporting, and administration of accounting systems for responsible entities/business units. The Middle Office Accounting Expert may also participate as a key user in accounting transformation projects, including IT system rollouts, process harmonization, and onboarding of new business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting Calculations: Perform calculations related to Bad Debts, Provisions and Accruals, Fixed Assets.
2. Closing Review: Ensure data quality, accuracy, timeliness of postings, evaluate departmental performance, perform sanity checks, ensure compliance with policies, review reconciliations, monitor closing progress, supervise uploads, and conduct post-mortem reviews for process improvements.
3. Regulatory Reporting: Handle statutory, regulatory, and specific reporting requirements.
4. Accounting Systems Administration: Manage access rights, system setup, configuration, interface management, and incident resolution.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with teams involved in closing, reporting, or transformation projects.
• Serve as a key user in accounting transformation initiatives.
• Support month-end closing and ad-hoc accounting tasks.

Required Skills:

• Strong analytical, synthesis, and data consolidation skills.
• Ability to prioritize, interact across organizational levels, and deliver results.
• Openness to technological and process innovations.
• Effective communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Networking and cultural adaptability skills.
• Financial acumen, accounting & tax knowledge, SAP familiarity, and understanding of Solvency II regulations.
